Teacher gifts

This set was so much fun to make. I used the Pack a Picnic tutorial from here . Included in the set is a bookmark, a jar purchased to hold paperclips, a gift card holder and basket. I used the apple from the Tart & Tangy stamp set. The apple basket was made using kraft paper and a canvas background stamp. I used green galore paper and the red checked paper I found at a craft store. The gift card holder was also a tutorial that I purchased from here called cash or charge.
The last picture is another picnic basket but made with garden green. I think I like the green galore basket the best.

A picnic just for fun

I found this paper at my local craft store and fell in love with it. I thought it would be great to use on the picnic basket tutorial I got from http://www.papertreyink.com. The tutorial was super easy. For the flowers on top I used Flower Folds bigz die for the big shot. The sentiment is from a retired set (I think its called Blooming with Love). I thought I would fill a glass with water and add some flowers.

Mother's Day presents

I am so excited about this project - mostly because it was so much fun to make. I am going to add a card but I need to purchase the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. Here are some details for the project.
For the boxs I used the 2009 12 days of Christmas tutorial from Becky Roberts. (A side note is that these tutorials can be used for any holiday and any season. And I love to make boxes!!!!) I used the tall box tutorial except that I made it an inch shorter. Then I cut out the window because I wanted to stamp something on the window sheet.
For the pink box I selected the flower from the Bloomin' Beautiful set (I love this set!!) and on the amethyst box I used the lavendar stamp from the Herb Expressions stamp set. I used white stazon to stamp on the window sheet. The pink brads are available for purchase from the Occasions mini catalog. I also used flowers from the pretties kit.
In the middle of the flower on the amethyst box I used the smaller flowers from the Birds and Blooms sizzlits 4 pack dies (It came with my big shot).
The jars I picked up from a local craft store. It is really hard to see in the picture but I etched the stamp onto the jar. Inside the jars are bath salts that I made that smell like lavender and rose.
The gift card holder was a tutorial called Cash or Charge purchased here.
To be honest I was trying to come up with a teacher gift set but it turned out to look more like something I would give my mom and MIL.
Thanks for looking.

Ooops, Heres the basket and bookmark

I got this idea for the basket from www.pattystamps.com on her January 8, 2010 post.
Rather than adding two mini milk cartons I think I am going to fill mine with Easter grass and peeps.

I used the Round tab punch to make the baskets, the scallop edge punch for the grass, and the Trio Flower punch for the flowers. The Happy Easter is from the "All Holidays" set. I found the large paper clips at Wal-mart.

A basket, bookmark and more milk cartons

I have been having such a good time making these milk cartons for Easter gifts. The tutorial for the milk carton can be found here. I love the Tea Party DSP - I think it is because I am tired of winter. I used the sentiment from "A Good Egg" stamp set.

The second milk carton also uses the stamp set "A Good Egg". This is such a fun Easter set to have.
I also really like this milk carton also. I do not have any idea what set the bunny is from. I have had this stamp set for years but am unable to identify what the title is.

Easter & Spring cards

I have been making several cards to determine what I want to make for my next craft night. Here are some of those cards.
This card uses "A Good Egg" stamp set and some sale-a-bration paper from last year.

This is one of my favorite cards. I love the colors. I used "A Flower for All Seasons" stamp set - one of my favoites. I used Tea Party DSP, Pretty in Pink and almost amethyst.

For the next next two cards I used the "Happy Moments" stamp set which is a Sale-a-bration set. These two cards are almost identical, the only difference is that I used Certainly celery DSP on one and Tea party DSP on the other.
I used the shadow box technique for both of these cards. For this take a 4" square piece of dsp. Fold it in half and then in half the other way. Fold down the points to the middle and then fold each point back toward the side.

Projects for February Craft Night

The card below uses the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. I wanted to make a card similar to the one in the current catalog on page 97. I change only a couple of things. I used soft suede, saffron, and ruby red card stock.

This next picture is of one of my favorite cards I have made. It uses two of my new stamps : French Filigree and Vintage Vogue (from the occasions mini catalog). I used Ballet Blue craft ink on the French Filigree stamp then embossed it with iridescent ice embossing powder. The medallion on the front is cased from http://www.stampinbythesea.com/. I just love the blue and kraft colors together.

Here are two other very similar cards I made.

And the final picture is a candy holder using the Two Tags big z die. I put two Hersey Dark Chocolate with Almonds on the inside. These were pretty easy to make.

Fox & Friends Milk cartons and Thank you notes

Here are some pictures of a milk carton set I made for my friend that is having a baby in March. I used the tutorial for the milk cartons found at http://www.inkingidaho.blogspotl.com/. This is the tutorial for the larger milk cartons - not the mini milk cartons from the big shot die available in the mini catalog. On one side of the milk carton holder I put two milk cartons - on the other side I made 14 thank you cards using the Fox and Friends stamp set. I hope she likes it - I had so much fun making them. I also used the Sweet Pea DP available in the mini catalog.
